Pakistan Hosts Neighbours For Summit Talks

The leaders of Iran and Afghanistan are meeting Pakistani officials in Islamabad for summit talks aimed at bringing about a lasting peace in the region.
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad lashed out against foreign interference in the region, while his counterpart Hamid Karzai called for action rather than words.
"All problems are coming from outside. In order to promote their goals and ambitions ... they don't want to allow our nations to develop," Ahmadinejad told a news conference."We are here to strengthen the steps in order to solidify cooperation among the three nations. We are going to move towards removing the problems... and we should deny others the opportunity to interfere."
Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari was also participating in the talks.

Even though Pakistan has stake in the final outcome of these talks they created the situation which presently exists. It was Pakistan's Inter Service Intelligence (ISI) which founded and funded the Taliban  all in an effort to exert influence over  Afghanistan. Hoping to shape a compliant proxy state.  After the Taliban government was removed from power following the U.S. invasion in October of 2001 the ISI continued to provide material support to the Taliban and its leadership which most governments believe fled to Pakistan.   To this day those involved in finding a resolution to the on going war in Afghanistan believe that Pakistan and its intelligence service the ISI continue to undermine  any effort to reach a peaceful out come which does not favor those who support the Taliban within Pakistan's government..
