Listening to Tony Blair whine about the withdrawal from Afghanistan is like being forced to listen hours of dentist drill recordings. This is the man who believed that "Odd Ball" was a credible source of intelligence concerning Iraq's nonexistent nuclear programs, to the Niger yellow cake uranium story (That wasn't remotely true.) and happily followed that moron George W. Bush around like a lost puppy. Doing whatever he told him to do. Tony Blair has zero credibility where the "war on terror" is concerned or any other area of foreign policy. Perhaps he can pontificate on school dinners. An area where he might have some insight.
The US withdrawal from Afghanistan was wrong and based on an "imbecilic" slogan, former PM Tony Blair has said.
He described the decision to withdraw troops from the country as "tragic, dangerous and unnecessary".
Mr Blair, who sent troops into Afghanistan 20 years ago, said UK involvement in Afghanistan was not a "hopeless endeavour" despite the Taliban takeover.
And the sacrifice made by British troops "was not in vain", he added.
Mr Blair said achievements in the country over the past 20 years - including a generation growing up without Taliban rule - was a "good cause" that "matters today".
Tony just wants to continue this pointless endeavour because he sees profits to be made.
