North Korea: Missile programme funded through stolen crypto, UN report says
North Korean cyber-attacks have stolen millions of dollars worth of cryptocurrency to fund the country's missile programmes, a UN report briefed to media says.
Between 2020 and mid-2021 cyber-attackers stole more than $50m (£37m) of digital assets, investigators found.
Such attacks are an "important revenue source" for Pyongyang's nuclear and ballistic missile programme, they said.
The findings were reportedly handed to the UN's sanctions committee on Friday.

“We Really Have Other Problems”What Do Russians Near the Border Think of a Possible Ukraine Invasion?
Vladimir Putin has amassed around 100,000 troops on the border to Ukraine. How are Russians reacting to developments? A visit to the city of Rostov-on-Don.
Valentina Tolmachova proceeds cautiously. It’s slippery on this February morning. A thin layer of ice covers the cobblestones in the city center of Rostov-on-Don. The 70-year-old points to a spot in a park between multistory apartment buildings. Back when she had still dared to, she would stand there, in front of the steps, with a protest sign.
The retiree shows a video on a mobile phone of her as a peace protester among dozens of fellow campaigners, with a large paper banner in their hands. It is scrawled with the words: "Stop the propaganda! Stop inciting two brotherly people against each other."
'Girls know their rights now’: Fighting female genital mutilation in Kenya
In the run-up to the International Day of Zero Tolerance for Female Genital Mutilation on Sunday, countries around the world are calling for an end to the globally condemned practice. In Kenya, around 4 million women and girls have been subjected to FGM, according to the United Nations.
Prevalence rates vary greatly by region and ethnicity – from a largely non-practicing west and central Kenya to a 98 percent observance in the country's northeast. A school in Kajiado County works with local authorities to protect girls and let them know their rights.

A nursing care provider’s awkward experience at a convenience store checkout has come to represent for him an ideal community model for helping people with disabilities.
It happened when Kenichi Oyama was waiting in line to pay for his breakfast at the cashier counter of a convenience store near his home in Chiba Prefecture in mid-September last year.
Oyama, who had sandwiches and a coffee in his hands, watched as the line ground to a halt when two women in front of the customer ahead of him struggled to pay for their items.
One of the shoppers was picking coins one by one out of a small purse while the other woman spoke to her.
US groups need to stop interfering in Canada: US ex-envoy
The statement comes after GoFundMe decided to return about $9m raised for protests in Canada against vaccine mandates.
A former American ambassador to Canada said groups in the US need to cease interfering in what many call an “occupation” in Ottawa as thousands protest vaccine mandates and COVID-19 restrictions.
Protesters continued to hold loud rallies on Sunday in cities across the country in a show of solidarity with a week-long demonstration in the capital.
“Under no circumstances should any group in the USA fund disruptive activities in Canada. Period. Full stop,” Bruce Heyman, a former US ambassador under Barack Obama, tweeted late on Saturday.
