Workers demand back pay `Gangnam Style`

Chinese labourers' wage protest goes viral.

Chinese labourershave found success with a protest tactic for the social media age: going viral on the microblogging site Sina Weibo. A group of construction workers performed the dance from the South Korean megahit "Gangnam Style" outside one of their building sites. They filmed a video in the hope that it would draw attention to their overdue wages. The clip quickly went viral on Chinese social media sites. After a week of media attention, officials in Wuhan province agreed to pay the labourers a total of $33,000 (206,000 yuan). Here's a Chinese news clip about the labourers' protest. They say, "Pay me my wages so I can go home and celebrate the Spring Festival!"

Gangnam Christmas Style

This year, Illman decided to combine the Christmas light show with Psy's mega-hit song, "Gangnan Style", entering it into the World's Best Christmas Lights contestant. After more than 200 hours of work, 41,000 light bulbs, 2,000 light channels, and 2kms of cable, the show was ready for it's debut. The spectacular display amazed visitors and word of Illman's Christmas light spectacular began to spread. The light show became so popular, it had to be shut down because of growing crowds and safety concerns.

Rapper Psy takes Number 1 in the charts with 'Gangnam Style'

Rapper Psy became the first South Korean musician to make it to number one in the UK today with his single "Gangnam Style".

The pop track broke into the top 40 two weeks ago at number 37, four weeks after its release, and has been climbing steadily since ending up at number three in last week's chart.
The video that accompanies the single has amassed more than 253 million views in just two months and became the most "liked" video of all time on YouTube.
Psy, who is already an established star in South Korea having released six albums, taught Britney Spears his dance moves on US TV show Ellen earlier this month.
