'LUCKY TRAIN' Doctor Yellow makes its last run after 24 yrs of service


Dr. Yellow, the yellow shinkansen is known as the lucky train in Japan . Railfans rushed to take one last glance at the T4 Doctor Yellow, a diagnostic train owned by Central Japan Railway, which made its final run after 24 years of service. The T5 Doctor Yellow owned by the West Japan Railway will continue operations until around 2027.

If you want to make it easy, you can use a booking website such as Klook, or if the cost-benefit works out, there's also the JR Pass.

 The COVID19 action restrictions were lifted for the first time in three years, and on April 29, 2022, the first day of a major holiday weekend (known as "Golden Week" in Japan), many tourists took the bullet train, making it crowded.The Shinkansen also ran a large number of trains to meet the demand.This video shows the Tohoku, Joetsu, and Hokuriku Shinkansen running every 4 minutes.

Shinkansen Train Run at Tokyo | Yamagata “Tsubasa” no.123


 


Heading to Yonezawa via Sendai on the TSUBASA 123 @ 7:12 It takes 2 hours and 8 minutes to arrive.

The Bento cost ¥1180 and Is one of my favorites. The JR East Pass Is ¥20,000 for 5 days of travel on the Shinkansen and other JR East train. It’s a bargain!
