Saluting the Heroes of the Coronavirus Pandumbic | The Daily Show

“The Daily Show with Trevor Noah” hails the “Heroes of the Pandumbic” in a critical new montage that features footage of prominent conservatives ― including President Donald Trump ― who for weeks played down the threat of the coronavirus.
Trump, Fox News personalities Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham and Geraldo Rivera, White House counselor Kellyanne Conway and Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) and others who pushed dismissive and sometimes conspiratorial talking points about the pandemic all appear in the 3-minute video.

Dr. Fauci Answers Trevor’s Questions About Coronavirus | The Daily Social Distancing Show

Dr. Fauci should be protected at all costs. Not only does he know what he is talking about, he is a good kind man. He cares about people. If something happened to him, I fear we would be in more trouble. May he always be safe, healthy and protected

The Trump Coronavirus Disaster Movie: 'Pandumbic'

The Daily Show gives Trump the Hollywood treatment, but not the one he craves. "Pandumbic" parodies the bumbling and negligent response of the GOP's Dear Leader.
“A man immune… to information."
Is it horror film? Is it a documentary? Is it a dessert topping? Why not all three? Trevor Noah provided a bit of comic relief (as he does) with this fake trailer for an imagined movie, 1970s disaster flick-style, named "Pandumbic." How nail-on-the-head is that?
It shows America's Sniffer-in-Chief ignoring the "no hand-shaking" advice, doubling down on his absurd theory that Covid-19 is just like the flu, and pathetically fishing for affirmation from real scientists that he's got a brain rattling around in that dried up skull somewhere. "My uncle, he was at MIT, he taught at MIT, he was a great super genius! I like this stuff, I really get it!" Um...no, he doesn't. Nearly everything he has said about this outbreak is contradicted by actual scientists and/or policy experts who specialize in this sort of thing.

Please make sure every U.S. senator sees this important jury duty orientation video (From The Daily Show)

The Washingtonian reports that The Daily Show has been airing 30- and 60-second versions of this video on local news channels in D.C. The publication says the truck has been on the move in the Capitol since Monday.

“We’re trying to always think of ways to take jokes that we have and take them outside the boundaries of 11:00 to 11:30. Like, how can we exist in the real world? How can we get closer to the people that we’re covering?” Ramin Hedayati, a producer at The Daily Show, told the Washingtonian in an interview. “Literally driving a truck outside of the building they’re in is a way to do that.”

The Daily Show Takes Down Fox News Over Racist Chinatown Segment

The Daily Show

Fox News personality Jesse Watters is getting justifiably lambasted for his racist Chinatown man-on-the-street report.

Fox News personality Jesse Watters is getting justifiably lambasted for his racist Chinatown man-on-the-street report.

But the harshest takedown may be the one delivered by “The Daily Show” correspondent Ronny Chieng on Thursday night’s broadcast.

“Everyone’s been wondering who’d be the target for the year’s worst racism,” Chieng said. “I didn’t even know Asians were in the running.”

Chieng, a comedian of Chinese descent raised in Malaysia, said he’s especially angry that Watters relied on references to Pat Morita’s “Miyagi” character from the original “Karate Kid” movie for laughs.

Trevor Noah Mocks Kim Jong-un’s Love For Combining War With Pop Music (video)

On Thursday night’s Daily Show, host Trevor Noah set his sights on the recent success of the North Korean pop music group Moranbong. Of course, since it’s the DPRK, there are certain limitations to how the North Korean people can enjoy the group’s concerts, and Noah wasted no time in skewering the crowd’s robotic celebrations.

Trevor Noah calls Isis 'capitalist hypocrites' for selling stolen artifacts to the US (video)

On his second night hosting Comedy Central’s The Daily Show, Trevor Noah admit he was disappointed with Isis for selling ancient artifacts throughout Syria and the Middle East.

“I’m not angry with you, I’m disappointed, because you sold out. And the most embarrassing thing is who you sold out to,” he said, referring to United States art collectors. The South African-born comedian slammed the terrorist organization for claiming their mass murders were out of religious conviction, when they are really "capitalist hypocrites" who make millions of dollars off stolen oil and artifact sales.

“You’ve got to admire someone who makes that much money… and still drives their s**t car to work every single day. They’re like the Warren Buffet of the terrorist organisations.”
