The trees that survived the bombing of Hiroshima
When an atomic bomb was detonated over the Japanese city of Hiroshima in 1945, hundreds of thousands of people were killed and injured.
Despite many survivors believing nothing would grow in the city for decades, 170 trees survived and are still growing 75 years later.
Green Legacy Hiroshima is a project that sends seedlings from those trees around the world, spreading a message of hope.

Obama to visit Hiroshima on May 27, accompanied by Abe
Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on Tuesday said that U.S. President Barack Obama will visit Hiroshima during the Group of Seven summit later this month.
The first visit to the A-bombed city by a sitting U.S. president is scheduled to take place on May 27, the final day of the two-day summit, Abe said, adding that he will accompany the leader.
Rest assured America's conservatives will accuse President Obama of; Surrendering to Japan, violating his oath of office (However that works is only known to them), apologizing for dropping the bombs even though he won't and any other crazy conspiracy theory they can think of.

Texas Land Commissioner Uses Bombing Of Nagasaki To Promote Droping Atomic Bombs On The Middle East
Sid Miller (R) is the Land Commissioner for the U.S. state of Texas on Sunday August 16 he posted the image above to a Facebook page belonging to The Patriot’s UV Drip 2. The statement accompanying the picture was an anti President Obama screed.
One can assume, that one of the worst moments in human and military history is appropriate to justify the use of atomic weapons on an innocent population.
Before it was removed, Miller’s shared post had received 2,232 likes and more than 300 comments. Most of the comments agreed with Miller’s post with only one or two users disagreeing or stating that using atomic weapons would be a step too far.

Stupidity Reigns At Chongging Youth Daily
Last week Chongging Youth Daily published a map with an editorial showing mushroom clouds over Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
How stupid does one have to be to publish such a map. Japan is the only nation to have suffered an actual atomic bomb attack. Hundreds of thousands were either killed or injured in those attacks. China may disagree with Japanese government policy but to publish this map is beyond assinie.
The Chongqing Youth Daily, a newspaper linked to the Communist Youth League in the southwestern megacity, last week carried the map in a full-page advertisement under the title “Japan wants a war again”, according to a posting on its official account on Weibo.

Japan’s full-scale invasion of China in 1937 left 20 million Chinese dead, according to Beijing’s estimates. It ended with Tokyo’s second world war defeat in 1945 following the US atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
It was not clear who placed the advertisement, which can no longer be found on the newspaper’s official website.
In a recent commentary the Chongqing Youth Daily lashed out at Japan’s re-interpretation of its constitution last week to proclaim the right to send soldiers into battle even when the country is not under direct attack.Wednesday, March 26, 2014

Countdown to Hiroshima, August, 1945: Pilot Briefs Crew
This article was written by Greg Mitchell for his blog Pressing Issues
General Douglas MAcArthur's reaction to the bombing
Paul Tibbets, pilot of the lead plane, the Enola Gay, finally briefs others in the 509th Composite Group who will take part in the mission at 3 pm. Military police seal the building. Tibbets reveals that they will drop immensely powerful bombs, but the nature of the weapons are not revealed, only that it is “something new in the history of warfare.” When weaponeer Deke Parsons says, “We think it will knock out almost everything within a three-mile radius,” the audience gasps.
General Douglas MAcArthur's reaction to the bombing
Gen. Douglas MacArthur, who directed the U.S. war in the Pacific, and would soon become the head of our occupation of Japan, had still not been told of the existence and planned use of the new bomb. Norman Cousins, the famed author and magazine editor, who was an aide to MacArthur, would later reveal: "MacArthur's views about the decision to drop the atomic bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki were starkly different from what the general public supposed....When I asked General MacArthur about the decision to drop the bomb, I was surprised to learn he had not even been consulted. What, I asked, would his advice have been? He replied that he saw no military justification for the dropping of the bomb. The war might have ended weeks earlier, he said, if the United States had agreed, as it later did anyway, to the retention of the institution of the emperor."

Abe tempts God’s vengeance
The above headline is from an article published in the JoongAng Ilbo by Kim Jin whose an editorial writer for the afore mentioned newspaper.
The authors attitude is reminiscent of American evangelicals who view God as the smiter of all the ideals and beliefs they view as evil without exception.
God often borrows the hand of a human to punish the evil deeds of men. The cruelest form of punishment would be a full-scale air strike against crimes against humanity. We all remember some of the most devastating raids in history. In February 1945, as World War II was nearing its end, Dresden was destroyed by fire. In the months that followed, Tokyo was carpet bombed and atomic bombs were dropped in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.Yes, in God's busy schedule he or she reached out to the American's and other allied forces and giving them specific instructions told them: firebomb Dresden a city of no military importance followed by giving full throated approvable to drop the atomic bomb on two Japanese cities killing several hundred thousand people all in his name.
These bombings were divine punishment and human retaliation at the same time. The bombing of Dresden was a retaliation for the Jews massacred by Nazi Germany. Tokyo, Hiroshima and Nagasaki were revenge for the Asians steamrolled by Japan’s militaristic nationalism, especially the “Maruta,” the human beings used in experiment by a covert biological warfare research team in China called Unit 731. The revenges resulted in very different outcomes. Germany completely changed its national spirit and was reborn as a free and progressive state. Japan, on the other hand, did not turn its back on its past misdeeds.Does anyone but the most strident Japanese nationalist deny that these atrocities took place and that those who ordered them were put and trial and found guilty of war crimes? Of course they don't.
The authors attitude is reminiscent of American evangelicals who view God as the smiter of all the ideals and beliefs they view as evil without exception.
