Ukraine claims to have made a significant breakthrough in its counteroffensive, saying its forces have 'decisively breached' Russia’s first defensive line in the southern Zaporizhzhia region. Just a week ago, Ukrainian troops reclaimed Robotyne, a key village on the Zaporizhzhia frontline. The latest reports of an advance would mark a significant boost for Ukraine amid concerns from some of its allies that the counteroffensive is faltering.

Ukraine has announced more successes in its counter offensive against Russian positions.
Ukrainian forces say they are making “modest but steady” progress in three areas of attack across the 1,000km (620 mile) front line.
Troops are launching probing attacks, while most of Ukraine's forces are in reserve as they wait for a big enough opening in Russian defences to launch a main attack to recapture land in the south of the country.
