Haiti calls for international help, should the UN intervene?

 


The United Nations says more than 4 million people - a third of all Haitians - are facing food insecurity. On top of that, a shortage of clean water has also led to a cholera outbreak. Both food and water are running low because there's no fuel for delivery trucks due to a port blockade by powerful gangs.

The Gangs of Papua New Guinea

 




Port Moresby, the capital of Papua New Guinea, is regularly ranked one of the most dangerous cities in the world.

From armed robberies and car-jackings to murders, the gangs who rule the streets are known to be ruthless. They often recruit young people from the countryside, who move to the city in a desperate bid to escape poverty. The gangs target the country’s wealthy elite, many of whom have become rich thanks to PNG’s rich natural resources.

Japan's Most Violent Biker Gang

 


Japanese motorcycle gangs have wreaked havoc since the 1970s. Known as Bosozuku, these gangs have a violent history, raging war against rival crews and cops. Gang members roamed the highways, sometimes hundreds at a time, with an array of brutal weaponry, customized bikes, and distinct crew jumpsuits. Being part of one of these motorcycle gangs was a frantic lifestyle, one that could easily lead to grievous bodily harm, and death.
