Malaysian Police Brand Women After Arrest

Malaysian police on Thursday branded a group of women after arresting them for prostitution following a week long undercover operation. They actually branded them with an X.

Police raided a high-end nightclub in northern Penang state late on Thursday and arrested 29 women from China and one from Vietnam, along with eight Malaysian men.

Local media reported police officers went undercover at the club for a week before the raid.

It triggered an outcry after local newspapers carried photos of the women bound up with a long chain and marked with either a tick or an X on their chest and forehead.

"The police branded the detained women as though they are cattle," opposition lawmaker Teresa Kok said in a statement.

Naturally the police defended their actions in a statement: Saying the women had tried to avoid arrest during all the confusion. They also stated that these women had wrecked several marriages and that wives had complained about the club.

Yes, blame the women working at the club because these men were cheating on their wives by using the services offer. Why blame the men? They were "obviously lured" into cheating by these women.

Which meant the women must be Branded and shown to be less than human.
