2 Americans killed in Pakistan bombing targeting U.S. consulate vehicle

There's only one problem the above headline is incorrect.

Two Americans were killed in a suicide car bomb attack targeting a U.S. consulate vehicle in the northwestern Pakistani city of Peshawar on Monday, the provincial information minister said.
Police have recovered a half-burnt U.S. passport from a car badly damaged in the explosion, intelligence officials said.
“The blast killed two Americans. This is a dangerous move from the terrorists—they want to terrorise the foreigners,” Mian Iftikhar Hussain, information minister for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, told AFP, adding that two Americans were also wounded in the blast.
The story above is from Japan Today

Three people were killed: One was the suicide bomber along with two Pakistani's.
US officials said no-one from the US consulate was killed, but that two US and two Pakistani staff were injured.
Earlier the Pakistani provincial information minister said two Americans were dead.
At least 19 people were injured when the bomber rammed the explosives-laden car into the four-wheel-drive vehicle.
Peshawar is a key city linking the volatile tribal areas bordering Afghanistan with the rest of Pakistan.
Taliban and al-Qaeda militants operate in the area and the city has been targeted frequently in bombings in recent years - although US officials are said to be protected by extensive security measures.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for Monday's attack.

The correct story is from the BBC

This is what happens when a news organization fails to confirm the facts. Which leads those who read it to believe its true when in fact it isn't.
