A dramatic rise in the number of aerial sorties over the sea separating the Chinese mainland from Taiwan has served as a reminder that the strait has the potential to be one of the most dangerous places on Earth. A reported 149 incursions in four days by People’s Liberation Army planes into Taiwan's air defence zone have left the de-facto independent island on high alert as it warned that China could be capable of invading by 2025. One area of concern is Xi Jiping who seems to view himself as a deity and the only one who can reunite China. Having a god complex is dangerous not only for Taiwan but, countries in the East and South China sea's. If China were to retake Taiwan what's to stop them from asserting military dominance over East and Southeast Asia? China has already claimed 90% of the South China using a 15th century map to assert its claims while constructing artificial islands for use by its military to insure that control.
