The animal was safely removed and released back into the wild, after being given the nickname "Wile. E" after the the Warner Brothers character.

Gee! Do you think that Jay Inslee the Governor of the state of Washington is just a little pissed at Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke?  Ryan Zinke is the fool who blamed California's wildfires on environmental extremists rather than climate change. 

“We don’t pay him to give us false information” about climate change, Jay Inslee complained.

He upbraided Zinke for downplaying the role of climate change and blaming “extreme environmentalists” for the ever-worsening fire seasons in the West. “With climate change, you have a hotter, drier climate, Mr. Zinke. You have fires,” Inslee said. “What is there about this that you cannot comprehend?” 

Yes, Ryan Zinke is a wholly owned subsidiary of big oil and has had the words science and climate change removed the Interior Departments website.

Then there is Steve Howke who oversees the approval of scientific grants. What are his amazing qualifications you ask? He's a former American football teammate of Ryan Zinke's along with a degree in Business Administration and working for Credit Unions all obviously "qualify" him to adjudicate the scientific worthiness of grant proposals.

The 'duck curve' is solar energy's greatest challenge

Electricity is incredibly difficult to store, so grid operators have to generate it at the exact moment it is demanded. In order to do this, they create incredibly accurate models of the total electric loads, that is how much energy will be consumed on a given day. But as utilities started to produce more energy from renewable sources like solar, the models started to shift as well. California researchers discovered a peculiarity in their state’s electric load curves, that started to look more and more like a duck. And that duck shaped chart highlights the greatest challenge to solar energy growth in the US.

Mission Accomplished

On 1 May, 2003 former President George W. Bush landed on the USS Abraham Lincoln sailing just off the coast of California.  He was there to give a speech updating the situation for the ongoing war in  Iraq.  Just behind him was a banner proclaiming Mission Accomplished.  While he never utter the words Mission Accomplished President Bush announced the end of major combat operations.  Unfortunately, following that speech L. Paul Bremer announced the disbandment of the Iraqi army and the sacking of all government officials belonging to the Baathist party.  This led to the insurgency that would claim more lives than actual combat operations.

 Donald Trump used that phrase 'Mission Accomplished' in proclaiming success after the U.S., the U.K. and France bombed known chemical weapons manufacturing facilities near Damascus and Homs.  While the air forces and the navies of countries involved may have incapacitated some of Syria's chemical weapons production it's foolish to exclaim that that capacity has been completely degraded.       

Remember this is Donald Trump, Reality T.V. star who believes that governing and the popularity of ones administration is based on ratings. Much like a  television programme rather than tangible accomplishments.
