Beijing authorities ac to curb emissions as air pollution hits record level-video
After Beijing experienced record levels of air pollution on Saturday, the Chinese government implements a 2012 emergency response plan with the powers to shut down polluting manufacturers and curb government car use. Fifty-four high-emission manufacturers were ordered to reduce 30% of their pollutant discharges
