Akihiro Suzuki Admits To Being A Misogynist Ass

Wednesday of last week Tokyo assemblywomen Ayaka Shiomura rose during question and answer time to inquire about the support the Liberal Democratic party controlled assembly would give to issues concerning women in Tokyo. Especially those dealing with child care, fertility and child care. The response from those assembled was to hurled misogynist insults.  After outrage not only from the domestic and international media the asshole who abused Ayaka Shiomura came forward to apologize for what he did. 

   The episode, which took place last Wednesday, has undermined Abe’s repeated appeals for Japan to boost the role of its under-employed women and encourage them into more senior positions.Suzuki had previously repeatedly denied shouting the taunt.
“I made the comment out of my feeling that I would like her to get married soon, as we see the issue of a shrinking population and an increasing number of women not marrying until late,” Suzuki told a hastily-arranged press conference.
“It was such an inconsiderate remark to those who cannot get married even if they wish to,” said Suzuki, himself married with three children.

Unfortunately the asshole didn't resign his seat but his party affiliation instead.  If there was any justice here Akihiro Suzuki would be forced to resign his seat in the Tokyo assembly and never be heard from again.
