The title is not correct. Japan's first and most famous Shinkansen line is the Tokaido Shinkansen which is operated by JR Tokai and is the one you see flying past Mt. Fuji. The other Shinkansen lines are operated by JR East and connect Tokyo to Northern Japan. The Chuo Shinkansen is the maglev line which hasn't opened yet and will eventually connect Tokyo to Osaka with a travel time of about 67 minutes.
