What is the legacy of Japan’s Fukushima disaster?

 



Japanese media report the government is planning to release contaminated water into the Pacific.

It has been nearly 10 years since the Fukushima nuclear disaster and Japan is still struggling to manage its consequences.

One of the most serious challenges involves some 1.2 million tonnes of contaminated water that is still being stored near the site.
