Tom Cotton is the Arkansas senator who, at the height of 2020's anti-racism protests, penned the explosive ‘Send In The Troops’ op-ed that The New York Times has since renounced. The Harvard-educated Iraq veteran is no stranger to controversy (ahem, racism*), having claimed that waterboarding is not torture, that ‘we are all worse for’ affirmative action, and that the United States has ‘an under-incarceration problem.’
