Why are Georgians (from the country not the US state), fighting on the battlefields of Ukraine? The Georgian Legion was formed by ethnic Georgians in 2014, and was one of many volunteer battalions actively serving alongside the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Donbas region against Russian-backed separatists.
