Israel levelling thousands of Gaza civilian buildings in controlled demolitions
Israel has demolished thousands of buildings across Gaza since it withdrew from a ceasefire with Hamas in March, with entire towns and suburbs - once home to tens of thousands of people - levelled in the past few weeks.
Satellite images show massive amounts of destruction in several areas which Israel's military command claims to have under "operational control".
Large swathes of it have been caused by planned demolitions, both to already damaged buildings and ones that appeared largely intact.

EU countries on Friday signed off on a new package of sanctions on Russia over the war in Ukraine, including lowering a price cap on Moscow's oil exports.

What is the Resistance Front – US-designated terror group accused of Pahalgam attack?
India put out bounty on three suspected Kashmiri and Pakistani gunmen
The US designated the Resistance Front (TRF), also known as the Kashmir Resistance, as a foreign terrorist organisation, months after a deadly terror attack in Kashmir killed 26 people.
The 22 April attack, which targeted a group in the Pahalgam area of southern Kashmir, was initially claimed by the TRF on social media, though the group later retracted its statement. It was one of the deadliest militant strikes in the region in recent years.
The TRF emerged in 2019 and is widely seen by Indian officials and counter-terrorism experts as a proxy for Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), a militant organisation that has already been listed as a foreign terrorist group by the US.
