Greg Abbott Vows To Create Pre-Crime With Signing Of Abortion Law

 Texas moron Greg Abbott announced today that, after carefully reading (Looking at the pictures that don't exist in the book.)  Philip K. Dick's  Minority Report he announced the creation of Pre-Crime as he "vowed" to eliminate all rapists from Texas.  His biggest obstacle will be finding the precogs to help convict people even before they've committed a crime.   Only a dotard like Greg Abbott would say something that stupid and believe that he's a true intellectual.

The Texas Governor was asked why he was forcing a rape or incest victim to carry their child to term on Tuesday.

“It doesn’t require that at all, because obviously it provides at least six weeks for a person to be able to get an abortion,” he replied.

Obviously it provides  only six weeks for a woman to get an abortion  even though a majority of women have no idea they're pregnant.  

Then of course their is the rat out your neighbour web site for a bounty of $10,000 dollars. These people should have worked for East Germany's Stasi. 

Republicans in Texas are no better than the Taliban in how they treat women.

Texas's power disaster is a warning sign for the US

 

In February, extreme cold and an unusual winter storm left millions of Texans in the dark. Many went without power or water, in subzero temperatures, for nearly five days. It was a disaster; dozens died. But even though that storm hit much of the country, the power outages were mostly limited to Texas. That’s because Texas is on its own electrical grid, separate from the rest of the country, which means it can’t easily get power from other states in an emergency.

Texas governor ends mask mandate and says all businesses can reopen

 Texas governor Greg Abbott has announced that all businesses can reopen at 100 per cent capacity and that he is lifting the statewide mask mandate, implemented to stem the spread of the coronavirus.

The governor has been under pressure from fellow Republicans to remove the mask rule that has been in place for eight months.

Even as case numbers, deaths, and hospitalisations have dropped from the peak of the winter surge, health officials have expressed concern that the decline has plateaued and have warned against relaxing restrictions.

Texas has the third-highest number of deaths from Covid-19 after California and New York.

Greg Abbott really doesn't care how many Texans die from the coronavirus. What's important is creating a Texas sized super spreader event all in the name of profits.

The year is 2020 correct? And not 1950.  When reconstruction ended in the southern states moved to enact laws that would, in their minds keep the south the south. Repression was the stated goal and it worked. Until the 1950's when the Civil Rights movement took hold and people and rights organizations began fighting back against their oppressor's. I wasn't easy. Even after land mark ruling's like Brown vs. Board Of Education and the passage of the Civil and Voting Rights Southern states continued to fight any progress made by African Americans.  In 1969 Richard Nixon with help of Rodger Ailes (Who would help create Fox News) and Patrick Banchan the Southern Strategy would be conceived. They idea was to not only attract disactivated Dixie Crats to the Republican party but institute new forms of voter suppression and intimidation.   Efforts that continue today with the closing of minority only polling stations, eliminating or reducing early voting days, gerrymandering of districts and passing laws that require a specific  type of idea to vote. And now this: Governor Greg Abbott has decided to deploy the Texas National Guard to polling stations throughout the state. All in an effort to "protect" the vote. 

 Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) announced that he is deploying troops to the polls in the state, something that a president can’t even due because it can suppress the vote.

“The Texas Army National Guard said Monday it had been ordered to dispatch 1,000 troops to five major cities around the state in conjunction with the Nov. 3 election,” San Antonio Express-News reported on Monday.

It sent people into flames of rage claiming that it was an example of a Republican governor behaving like a segregationist from the 1950s.
