Trump attempts to bypass Congress on coronavirus relief, though his power to do so is unclear

For those living outside the U.S. Only the U.S. Congress has the power to tax and spend. Meaning that without legislation passed by the the House and the Senate no president has the unilateral authority to allocate funds in this way. It's completely unconstitutional.  

Maine GOP candidate viciously attacks Parkland survivor Emma Gonzalez as a ‘skinhead lesbian’ in crazed rant

A Republican state congressional candidate in Maine this week attacked Parkland shooting survivors during an angry rant on Twitter.

The Portland Press Herald reports that Leslie Gibson, a Republican candidate for Maine’s 57th congressional district, attacked 18-year-old Parkland survivor Emma Gonzalez, who has been particularly outspoken about the need for stronger gun laws in the wake of the shooting at her school that took the lives of 17 people.

“There is nothing about this skinhead lesbian that impresses me and there is nothing that she has to say unless you’re a frothing at the mouth moonbat,” Gibson wrote of Gonzalez.

Gibson also attacked Gonzalez’s classmate David Hogg, whom he called “a bald faced liar” for saying that the National Rifle Association “owned” Republican lawmakers.

“Dana Loesch ‘owns’ Congressmen? Completely absurd,” he wrote. “Hogg doesn’t get a pass when he blatantly lies.”

Emma Gonzalez is obviously more mature and intelligent than Leslie Gibson who is the epitome of the modern Republican party and a reflection of the Trangerin Tragedy now occupying the Oval Office.  

Congressmen, Aides Reportedly Shot At Early Morning Baseball Practice

Shots were fired on a group of Republican lawmakers in Alexandria, Virginia on Wednesday morning and witnesses say that several aides and members were hit.

Among those who were shot were Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.), according to Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Al.) Brooks told reporters he used his belt as a tourniquet to stop Scalise’s bleeding and that more than 50 bullets were fired.

The lawmakers were at baseball practice, as is customary this time of year in preparation for the annual congressional baseball game.
