South Korea's "scientific whaling"

South Korea's scientific whaling proposal put forth at the International Whaling Commission meeting in Panama is quite funny.  They're going to protect fisherman.  Everyone knows Moby Dick is still on the loose ready to attack.  Because that's what animals with no teeth do.
Perhaps they can employ Captain Ahab as he's the expert here.

Like Japan's joke scientific whaling in the southern ocean which achieves very little scientific research but helps to keep a dieing industry  alive through government subsidies.  Naturally most Japanese don't eat whale meat but it is fed to children in their school lunches.
