15 killed as Egypt security forces clear pro-Morsi rallies, Muslim Brotherhood says
At least 15 people were killed early Wednesday as Egyptian security forces began to clear protest camps set up by supporters of ousted President Mohammed Morsi, a Muslim Brotherhood official said.
About 200 people were arrested, according to country's interior ministry. An emergency services official said six people were killed and 26 injured.
Train services were suspended to prevent an influx of sympathizers after pictures of the clearances were shown on television.
One witness told Reuters he saw 15 bodies at a field hospital beside the Rabaa al-Adawiya camp in the Nasr City district of Cairo, where where bulldozers cleared tents erected by protesters who have been demanding Morsi's reinstatement.
