France's left alliance leads in election polls, keeping far right at bay

Initial projections in the second round of France’s legislative elections have the leftist alliance the "New Popular Front" in the lead. The coalition, which includes Jean-Luc Melenchon’s party "France Unbowed", could get as many as 215 seats. President Macron's "Together" coalition is second, with up to 180 seats.

Please remember that every pundit with a pulse predicted that France was going authoritarian. How did that workout?
