BLM counter-demonstrators clash with London police

Protesters have been partly kettled by police in Parliament square, with all exits now apparently blocked by police in riot gear.

Although numbers have thinned since earlier, some protesters who have remained are becoming confrontational with police now, chanting and arguing with officers on police lines.

Donald Trump Sending Racist Tweets

From the day Donald Trump announced his candidacy for president, throughout the campaign and starting from his first day in office he has shown what a racist he is.  Yet, he'll give a speech at one of his Nurenberg style rallies and urge minorities to vote for him even though his policies target the very people whose support he supposedly  seeks.  He isn't doing this in isolation as the Republican has willingly taken up his racist mantel.   So. what's he's latest racist outrage?  Racist tweets about China and the coronavirus.

China’s foreign ministry says US president should ‘stop this despicable practice’

Donald Trump has referred to the coronavirus as “the Chinese virus”, escalating a deepening US-China diplomatic spat over the outbreak.

After giving an address on Monday warning of a possible recession, the US president posted on Twitter: “The United States will be powerfully supporting those industries, like Airlines and others, that are particularly affected by the Chinese Virus. We will be stronger than ever before!”

China’s foreign ministry spokesman Geng Shuang said Trump should take care of his own matters first. “Some US politicians have tried to stigmatise China … which China strongly condemns,” he said at a press briefing on Tuesday. “We urge the US to stop this despicable practice. We are very angry and strongly oppose it [the tweet].”

The World Health Organization has advised against terms that link the virus to China or the city of Wuhan, where it was first detected, in order to avoid discrimination or stigmatisation.

Donald Trump Doesn't Offer Sympathy After London: He Offers Up Racism

Donald Trump is using the attack in London to once again advocate for his ridiculous racist ban on Muslims entering the United States.  According to him they should face extreme vetting.  Whatever that may be. He's had more than 120 days in which to implement such a program, yet there's no policy in place.  Donald Trump is nothing more than a racist and a bully who uses these kinds of incidents to promote his 19th century way of thinking. Sadly his most ardent supporters will agree with him.   Of course he does this without having all the necessary facts. Like earlier this week when, without knowing what was happening in Manila called the incident at the casino a terrorist attack when in fact it was an attempted robbery gone wrong.  

In one of his tweets on the subject he stated that the court's needed to give us back our rights.

Except that in America one's rights aren't given to them by the courts.  That happens through the constitution.

At a rally in December 2015 in Mount Pleasant, S.C., Trump defended his plan for a "total and complete shutdown of Muslims" by comparing it with former president Franklin Roosevelt's decision to inter Japanese Americans during the Second World War. 

In support of a Muslim database.

"I would certainly implement that. Absolutely," Trump told an NBC News reporter between campaign events in November 2015 while in Newton, Iowa. 

At a December 2015 rally in Charleston, South Carolina, just a few days after the San Bernardino shooting, Trump told thousands of supporters:

"Donald J. Trump is calling for a complete and total shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country's representatives can figure out what the hell is going on."

"I think Islam hates us," Trump told Anderson Cooper on CNN, after the host asked him whether Islam was at war with the West. "There is a tremendous hatred there. We have to get to the bottom of it."

Cooper then asked whether Trump believed the hatred was in the Islamic religion itself.

"You're going to have to figure that out," Trump replied. "You'll get another Pulitzer."

"We can't allow people who have this hatred coming into the United States and of people who are not Muslim."

America Elects A Demagogue : Donald Trump

In a complete repudiation of good governance and what can only be seen as a longing for an authoritarian ruler  American voters elected Donald Trump President.

Here's a person who's embolden racists, isolationists and bigots of all stripes.  A man who has no understanding of how the American government works or how policy is implemented.  A man who doesn't understand or want to know any of the basic concepts affecting domestic and foreign policy.  In the area of domestic policy Donald Trump has advocated for the deportation of all 11 million people living in America who are undocumented  and for building a wall along America's southern border.  (The Berlin Wall lives.)  In the area of foreign policy he has on several occasions stated that America's military wouldn't just go after the world's terrorists but their families as well, stating they should also be killed. (That's a war crime.)  As for America's military alliances? Well, you'd better pay up.   He once pronounced NATO as obsolete and that America's continued involvement would be predicated upon member states paying fees to America.  Can a like a protection racket.   Donald Trump thinks that South Korea and Japan should have their own nuclear arsenals even though neither country wants them. He also wonders why America can't  just use its nuclear weapons simply because the U.S. has them.


During the second Presidential debate Donald Trump stated that if elected he would arrest and imprison Hillary Clinton even though she's never been charged with any criminal offense.  Authoritarian rulers do that not American President's unless you're  Donald Trump.

He's called America's press liars and claimed they were biased against him.  During the campaign Donald Trump has advocated going after those media outlets he believes have broadcast or printed unfavourable stories about him.  Will he go the way of Turkey's Erdogan and start shutting down opposition media  outlets and arresting and imprisoning journalists?  To say that he won't would be a fool's errand.  

Donald Trump has no business leading America or the world.  He's incapable of doing so because he's thin skinned,  can't handle criticism, views any slight as a personal attack and if wronged has the extremely bad habit of wanting revenge and won't stop until he has it.

Toru Hashimoto the mayor of Osaka isn't the person the reporter makes him out to be.  Not only is a historical revisionist as is stated. He's also a war crimes denier  and a racist.    

Hashimoto and Shintaro Ishihara the former mayor of Tokyo and well known racist formed the Japan Restoration party with him.  Toru Hashimoto is no humanitarian. 

A live stream debate on hate speech between a charismatic politician and a prominent rightwing extremist was never going to be a polite exchange of views.
But few expected the much-anticipated showdown between Osaka mayor Toru Hashimoto and Makoto Sakurai, the leader of an anti-Korean group, to last just a few minutes after it quickly descended into a slanging match, with the two men at one point appearing on the verge of physical violence





Sakurai’s insistence on using a disrespectful version of the Japanese word for “you” set the tone for the eight-minute contretemps that followed.
In an unsuccessful attempt to address the issue, Hashimoto, who caused controversy last year by suggesting that wartime sex slaves were necessary to maintain discipline among Japanese soldiers, told Sakurai to “stop lumping together races and nationalities and judging them”, before telling his nemesis to “cut it out”.
