Naoto Kan To Reshuffle Cabinet Friday Evening

Prime Minister Naoto Kan will reshuffle his cabinet yet again in the vain hope the fortunes of the Democratic Party of Japan will improve. Can one say desperation? That’s exactly what it is: For reasons that only he understands Kan believes the Japanese voter will adore him if he presents them with a strong group of ministers. Small problem leadership doesn’t start at the bottom at starts at the top something Naoto Kan seems incapable of understanding. He, Naoto Kan has to provide the Japanese voter with decisive leadership being reliant upon others to show ones streangths won’t cut it.

Prime Minister Naoto Kan will conduct a Cabinet reshuffle later Friday in the hope of boosting his popularity, with the likelihood that he will gather together lawmakers who are enthusiastic about fiscal consolidation and trade liberalization.
The Cabinet reshuffle will take place ahead of the 150-day regular parliament session due to begin on Jan. 24, after which the government led by the Democratic Party of Japan will face tough challenges from opposition parties over the passage of the fiscal 2011 budget and related bills.
