Late Night Ignoring Asia

If you ignore it

Police said Monday that eight people were arrested in Tokyo’s Okubo district on Sunday after two groups clashed over recent outbursts of anti-Korean hate speech in Tokyo.
TV Asahi reported that the groups faced off between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. and started fighting, using umbrellas and then their fists. Police moved in and arrested four members of “Zaitokukai” (Citizens Against Special Privileges for Zainichi), including their leader Makoto Sakurai, 41, as well as the leader of the anti-protestor group Kenji Kubo, 48, and three other members.
Police said that about 200 anti-Korean protestors faced off against 350 anti-protestors belonging to a group called Resistance Troops Against Those Who Discriminate (レイシスト人種差別主義者をしばき隊).
It really didn't happen. Just ask the Japanese media. They know a lot about see no evil, hear no evil and speak evil

Not a good headline

Could they  possibly have chosen a worse word to describe this?
Rightwing fools to sue another rightwing fool
A group of activists led by former Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) legislator Chang Chun-hong (張俊宏) said they will sue Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe over the issue of the Diaoyutai Islands (釣魚台) in the Yilan District Court today.
“The lawsuit came as our determination to protect the human rights, sovereignty and fishing rights of Taiwanese because the islands have always been part of Republic of China [ROC] territory,” Chang, who represented the Taiwan Gene Foundation, told a press conference.

I'm sure shortly after receiving their summery judgement they'll have a moron beer bust
