Late Night Ignoring Asia

Those crazy Japanese football fans "got out of control" at Shibuya crossing after Japan became the first team to qualify for the 2014 World Cup in Rio. Just watch the video to witness their wildness.

Build it and they won't be allowed to come

NK leader urges swift completion of ski resort

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un
issued an order to the military and citizens urging them to swiftly complete the ongoing construction of a ski resort within this year, the country’s state media reported Wednesday.

“The Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) remains unchanged in its resolution to build a world-class skiing ground within this year and provide the people, school youth and children with highly civilized and happy living conditions that enable them to enjoy all blessings,” Kim was quoted as saying in the order made Tuesday and carried by the North Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).

“It is the intention and resolution of the WPK to raise a hot-wind of great innovations and upswing throughout the country by letting all the people learn from the indomitable fighting spirit and work style being displayed by the soldiers in the construction of the skiing ground.”
I don't think "Hot Wind" is a very good metaphor   to use when describing a ski hill since it involves snow and ice.   Perhaps North Korea has a special brand of ski resort one which requires lots of "Very Hot Air"

Come Sail Away Come Sail Away With Me

Inspired by Life of Pi, a Czech visitor who had overstayed his tourist visa and did not have money for an airplane ticket tried to leave Taiwan on a crudely built raft to travel to Japan.
Martin Psota launched his raft on Sunday from Oluanpi (鵝鑾鼻), Pingtung County, but did not travel far. Unfortunately for Psota, it was a much tougher task than he envisioned. He was soon overcome by exhaustion from rowing and the jerry-rigged raft made of logs and Styrofoam began to break apart.
It was his good luck that a Coast Guard Administration patrol boat picked him up off Oluanpi, ending his brief adventure.

Inspired by complete stupidity Martin Psota thinks he's Homer on his Odyssey
